Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Many eBikes attempt to park on this block, apartments put out warning signs against locking to railings and fences. Apartments have steep, narrow steps that make eBike access to basement parking impossible.
Wide sidewalk on north side of west 69th between Amsterdam and Broadway. There are lots of bikes parked outside building entrance on 68th and the pods would comfortable fit here to service the area
Bike parking in front of a long standing local bike shop would be incredible
This is a popular coffee shop at Columbia University. There needs to be bike parking here so people can go there to drink coffee and study and better use the nearby plaza.
Already a bike corral here and would be a great upgrade. Near transit and two parks--perfect spot
Bike parking makes sense here as it's close to Bryant Park, the Libraries, Restaurants and a new gym Lifetime will be coming in this year.
Long term bike parking would be huge for this neighborhood, where bike storage can be lacking in the older buildings. I'd be able to bike to work more if I had a place to put my bike!
DOT should add bike parking here. Lots of cyclists use this spot to come to this coffee shop to drink coffee at Bean & Bean or go to the gym that's located mid block or go the bagel shops nearby.
This small side street is an amazing, cozy entrance to the LIRR and Subway in the 7, a huge transit hub. Yet, this street has permanent, free car parking without even any street cleaning, and is hoarded by cars parked there for weeks or months, some of them in illegal spots at the end of the dead end. It could be a great place to reclaim the space and provide secure bike parking or other pedestrian facilities.
With all the events going on at Willets Point, and how easy it is to get there from Manhattan via 34th Ave, adding safe and secure bike parking is the last piece of the puzzle to make taking your own bike feel like the obvious choice.
