Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Theres considerable space at this corner. It would also be helpful if this wasnt so close to Fulton as there is a large unhoused drug addicted presence there and I worry about vandalism and theft.
A place to securely park bikes in this area would be very welcome. Lots of room in JJ Byrne for this.
Short term
Some kind of secure bike storage here, or generally more in SoHo near Canal St. station (Yellow and Green lines)
bikes on this block are regularly locked to trees and other inappropriate spots. there is only two street poles to lock them to and people often ride their bikes to the tattoo shop, residential buildings and other businesses here.
Please add secure bike parking here or in the surrounding area! The bike racks at Baruch College are not secure and my building across the street on the SE side of 25th and 3rd Ave has NO racks or room for them to speak of. Only options are further away $$ garages.

This block is a critical gap in bike infrastructure. Eastern Parkway between Nostrand and Rogers sees extremely high cyclist traffic daily, given its position between Brower Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and Prospect Park — yet it has zero dedicated bike parking. Bikes are regularly locked to light poles and building gates, far exceeding what those improvised spots can handle. I'd like to see a secure bike corral or rack installation here supporting: Bike types: Standard, e-bike, and cargo bikes Duration: Short-term (park visitors, errands) and weekend/all-day parking for destination visitors Amenities: E-bike battery charging and a tire pump/basic repair station would be a major community benefit given the volume of riders This stretch serves as a connector between multiple major green spaces and a dense residential neighborhood. Secure parking here would reduce sidewalk clutter, protect residents' and visitors' bikes, and support the kind of active transportation the city wants to encourage.
Would love to be able to use E-Cargo bikes, but parking is tricky. Ultimately though higher density cargo bike parking requires something closer to actual parking lots with an unloading section and then significant space set aside to hold enough of them with things to lock onto. The city needs to force more parking lots to work with ecargo bikes along with building basement parking lots. $50/mo seems like a fair rate for a dedicated rack.
I believe adding a bike parking near the college would provide a safety for our bikes and not having to worry about who's going to steal it. it will provide a assurance that the bike is safe
