Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. I’d like to see a E-bike charging with secure parking near home, I am a delivery cyclist who depends on safe parking.
One of the denser blocks in NYC
The East Village needs bike parking. Most buildings do not have enough space to properly park a bike, which leads to outdoor parking or just deciding not to have a bike. A convenient storage location instead of car parking would be hugely beneficial for this neighborhood. This block in particular (5th St between 1st and 2nd Ave) has limited car traffic and dead ends on both sides, making it an ideal option to limit car traffic and maximize bike usage.
My bike was stolen here and police who investigated said another bike was stolen that same day. Perfect for YMCA gym users. There's space.
Multifamily + Dean Playground + Barclays make this a good location.

Mostly 3-5 story buildings on this block, but high percentage are multifamily
