Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location
This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. There is a completely unutilized privately owned public space (POPS) at the place of the tall apartment building at the SW corner of E88th St & 1st Ave. The Citibike station at this corner should also be relocated to that plaza, to free up parking spots. That plaza has been empty, unused, and wasted for over 30 years.
This strip in Brighton Beach needs some bike parking for people who are visiting and shopping at the stores
There used to be a citibike station here - what happened? Parking on Franklin would be great for businesses on this block. Sometimes I want to go to the pub in the evening but don't feel comfortable locking my bike on the street while I enjoy a pint! This locatrion would be superior to parking on the side streets, which is more likely to be used as long term storage by residents rather than people who are shopping at businesses and moving along every couple of hours.
It would be great to have bike parking inside Prospect Park so people can travel to specific places in the park by bike and then park and walk around. This is a pretty good location for a spot.
Bike racks at park entry are always at capacit on nice days. The plaza redesign is a great opportunity to add bike secure bike parking so that bikers can enter the park on foot.
