Suggest a Secure Bike Parking Location

This feedback map is for Secure Bike Parking, a new citywide program. NYC DOT would like to know how this program can best serve your bike parking needs. Please tell us what type of bicycle you would like to store (standard, e-bike, cargo, adaptive, etc.) and the length of time (long-term, short-term, overnight, weekends, etc.) at each suggested location. You may also indicate preferred amenities such as e-bike battery charging, tire pumps, and bike repair stations.

To add a suggestion, please select the most appropriate bike icon in the “select comment type” dropdown. Next select a submission type (map preferred) and place as close to an intersection or location of interest as possible. If there is an existing marker/pin at your proposed location, please add another marker/pin. If you're having trouble with adding your comments, please review "Feedback Map Instructions" or you can email your suggestions to NYC SecureBikeParking@dot.nyc.gov.

So many people take bicycles to the mall or to the train that the racks and nearby street signs are totally overloaded. This is a no-brainer location to build up bicycle infrastructure at as it easily facilitates multi-modal trips—people in this part of Queens also deserve bicycle infrastructure! There is ample space here on this sidewalk due to the mall. Take a cue from the existing Citibike Station. I don't know what the status of the island at the mouth of the mall's eastern driveway is but simply putting more racks there would be a boon, the bicycle shelter could be placed on the block in front of the mall. Bike lane markings would also do numbers on Metropolitan Avenue but that's another issue.
