Large tractor trailers speeding down metropolitan. These trucks are TOO big to be in a residential neighborhood. They're dangerous to pedestrians and bikers, loud, erode the streets, slow traffic. This is NOT a highway. They are extremely disruptive and something needs to change.
Very rough road conditions
I Want To apologize for any typos I left on my previous comment . I think that Maintenance is also a huge concern throughout all of NewYork City. And that Consistent on going maintenance is crucial for our streets.
I selected 82nd St. and 35th Ave. however I want to highlight parts of Queens like corona, Jackson Heights, and Woodside. These areas, including the rest of queens have many narrow streets, which make it difficult to make sharp and drive-through. Congested St., Steinway Street for example deals with more pollution high traffic and large trucks routed in this direction. Create a lot of delays. This has increased pedestrian safety, and min areas. I think that there should be more streets where trucks are restricted from driving down. The two-way streets are actually just one-way streets and in order for one small car to go down the road. They have to wait for the opposing direction so they can drive. When it comes to trucks, there is no stopping and waiting for card they have to take access of the road. More congestion has also increased asthma throughout different parts of cleans as well. I think that should include the BLVDs and the highways. There are multiple options to remedy these issues of traffic safety, however, when it Comes to rerouting specifically I feel that restricting more streets and avenues for trucks to go down as well as increasing enforcement of legislation is also important.
Large trucks come down this road at all hours of the day and night, seemingly nonstop. They create tremendous noise, pollution, and traffic. This is a residential neighborhood, and there presence is a hazard to the health and safety of the residents along and near this route.
Cars are constantly speeding on the BQE, especially at night. They shake the entire building. The city also needs to be more concerned about the air quality for residents along the BQE.
It's always dirty underneath the BQE. I have never seen a sweeper truck come and clean under there. Please come clean. It's a health hazard.
57th St in Sunset Park is a oneway street. It's too narrow for commercial trucks. These trucks have hit cars and the curb when try to turn into Third avenue. They should not be allowed on this street. It's dangerous.
Trucks double park to deliver to local businesses frequently and they block the B38 bus stop.
Not enough commercial truck parking 3 or 2 av
