The left turn from Hicks St onto Atlantic to reach the BQE on-ramp in a massive pedestrian hazard - trucks race through the light, blocking the intersections, prevent pedestrians from crossing. Traffic is also always so backed up on Hicks due to this left turn onto Atlantic, that the Hicks ambulance entrance to the ER is always blocked.

The traffic light for trucks and cars sometimes flashes yellow when pedestrians have the signal. Given the high traffic volume and the speed with which traffic comes down Atlantic, this should always be red when pedestrians have the signal.

Trucks turning onto the BQE Ramp from Atlantic often nick the sidewalk where pedestrians wait for the crosswalk signal. The entry for the ramp is too narrow. Also, the traffic light is sometimes flashing yellow when pedestrians have the signal to walk. This is a dangerous intersection and the traffic light should always be red when pedestrians cross.
