Speeding Trucks
Speeding Trucks
Court St - Sackett St - Union St

For years, from 11PM to 3AM, I have witnessed very large private garbage trucks speeding down Court Street (30+ mph) often blowing through red lights. These trucks should not be using Court Street as a shortcut, even late at night and certainly not at such high speeds.

Degraw St - Columbia St - Tiffany Pl

Large trucks heading northbound regularly fail to make the left onto Columbia and get stuck on this street. Illegally parked cars at the T-intersection at Hicks Street make a difficult right turn impossible, such that trucks need to back out into the VERY busy truck route intersection at Columbia and Degraw.

Soon enough some pedestrian is going to die here: cars/trucks run the red light at the on ramp, cars/trucks to avoid the light, drive in the 2nd (N) lane and illegally turn right after the pedestrian island. It's the wild west. Please close the BQE onramp. Cars/Trucks can turn on Furman and get on the BQE via Sands st. It would erase the bottle neck that now runs from the on ramp all the way up to Clinton. And again, soon enough, someone will die.

This road has no business being a truck route!

My car got hit here by a hit and run truck. Police said it happens all of the time here. Why is there no prevention?

Van Brunt is a small neighborhood street with so many pedestrians and cyclists. It is a marked cyclist route yet trucks aggressively drive and dominate the road.
