trucks risk getting stuck going northon broadway because truck route has low clearance and nearby roads do to.
The traffic light for trucks and cars sometimes flashes yellow when pedestrians have the signal. Given the high traffic volume and the speed with which traffic comes down Atlantic, this should always be red when pedestrians have the signal.
Trucks turning onto the BQE Ramp from Atlantic often nick the sidewalk where pedestrians wait for the crosswalk signal. The entry for the ramp is too narrow. Also, the traffic light is sometimes flashing yellow when pedestrians have the signal to walk. This is a dangerous intersection and the traffic light should always be red when pedestrians cross.
Trucks frequently get stuck at lights and block the box, making it difficult for pedestrians to cross the street.
Trucks travel well above the speed limits on Atlantic, especially when racing to make a light.
Trucks are frequently double parked along Atlantic
Large trucks use neighborhood streets to reach Atlantic
trucks constantly use Henry Street as a route to get to Atlantic Ave.
On this corner is a city park where kids play afterschool sports and babies should use the playground, but since it's surrounded by this enormous road with trucks roaring through the intersection I can't let my kids walk there. Even when they're accompanied by an adult it's dangerous when the trucks blow the light to make turns (often).
This is a major pedestrian intersection in the middle of a residential and shopping neighborhood, but it is also near the bqe on ramp/offramp so trucks are flying along here. The intersection here is very dangerous for pedestrians.
