Observed Pedestrian and Truck Conflict
Observed Pedestrian and Truck Conflict
Church Ave - Ocean Parkway Bike Path - Ocean Parkway

Such a dangerous intersection for bike and pedestrians crossing ocean parkway (especially the north side of the street which leads to the entrance of the prospect park expressway). I cross daily with my kid in a stroller and am always worried we will be hit by a turning car. Have watched people get hit and also trucks collide with one another. Please reevaluate the traffic light and turning lights timing, Would be great to have a more delayed light for pedestrian crossing and maybe different turning times for cars/trucks turning onto the northbound expressways from both westbound and eastbound traffic on Church ave.

Prospect Expressway - Ocean Parkway - Prospect Expressway Exit 5 Wb

The intersection at Church Ave and Prospect Expressway is so scary for pedestrians. Huge trucks are always turning in front of pedestrians even when the pedestrian walk signal is on. I avoid this intersection at all costs.

Speeding Trucks
Speeding Trucks
42 St - Queens Boulevard - 47 Ave - Queens

Several instances, there have been trucks speeding down the street or illegally using the street—this is a Neighborhood Slow Zone block and not a truck route. There should be a sign banning trucks on this street, except for local deliveries only (similar to 43rd St and Queens Bl).

41 Ave - 24 St - Crescent St

Due to the extremely high truck traffic through this area leading onto the Queensboro Bridge, there is often terrible congestion which is detrimental to the environment and the health of people passing by and living in the area. Not only is there air pollution, drivers would honk relentlessly for most hours of the day which is terrible noise pollution.

Crescent St - 41 Ave - Ramp

Due to the extremely high truck traffic (all vehicles, really) to get onto the Queensboro Bridge, the crosswalk is rarely ever clear for pedestrians and cyclists to cross. The traffic would often be bumper to bumper, people need to squeeze between cars which is a condition that is impossible for bikes, wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers to pass through.
