Caton Ave - East 17 St - Parade Pl - Brooklyn

It’s ridiculous that the city redirects tractor trailers through Caton Ave which is filled with parks, old folks homes, and schools. The entire area is meant for pedestrian traffic, yet there are 18 wheeler trucks speeding through here 24/7. The trucks are a complete safety hazard, not to mention extremely loud all day and night. They speed down Caton Ave to the point it actually shakes my apartment and blare their horns with zero regard of where they are. NYC needs to redirect this route to an actual COMMERCIAL road. Totally unacceptable.

Halleck St - East Bay Ave - Oak Point Ave

Wide crossings as a pedestrian. Lots of turning trucks from multiple directions. Damaged roads, medians, and curbs.

Confusing Truck Route Signage

21 St - 31 Drive - Broadway

Confusing signage - truck route sign indicates correctly that 21st St is a local truck route however DOT banned the left turn after implementing a Bus lane on 21st St and other necessary safety features. This limits trucks from making already limited connections from truck route to truck route. DOT should consider adding banned turns at interesting truck routes to your map!

This is residential area and trucks should not be allowed here. There are 3 schools, houses, playgrounds, apartment buildings, and constant truck traffic blocking crosswalks and running red lights.

Difficult Truck Turn
Difficult Truck Turn
Caton Ave - Mcdonald Ave - East 2 St

Huge trucks making this turn plus frequent backup on Caton Avenue due to large trucks and traffic lights mean crosswalks are often blocked and poor visibility for pedestrians. This is a horrible intersection and is only one block away from an elementary school.

Large trucks and buses park on the LIE westbound service road near Food Emporium (which is at the service road and Francis Lewis Blvd). They make it very dangerous, since you can't see oncoming traffic when trying to get onto the service road.
