Hopefully this change can actually improve if not deplete this ongoing flaw from these buses, the most remembered aspects of these 181st buses is that they are often crowded and slower than Nevada on Election Day (exaggerated on purpose). Because it is understandable that on a daily basis people have to use these buses for important reasons, like getting home from school, to go to the hospital, and much more to say.

The bus is always crowded when it comes specially if you take it in the morning they always have people in it and some people don't even listen to the bus driver when he/she says that you can't get in no more.

There should be benches for the buses and maybe more routes because if all of the buses are coming from his area then there will be more traffic(could be crowded)

Parking is already sort of difficult in this area and the whole washington Heights if they add all of this so much traffic and unavailable parking will happen that'll make up so many problems.

Taking away more parking on top of all the parking taken away from outside restaurants is a risky move as having even less parking is never a good thing. -christian g

I take the bus a lot and the sidewalks get so crowded, especially around these areas. Trying to pass through is very difficult.

As you consider plans for the Busway, which is a fantastic idea and much needed, you must look at trucking traffic, especially wide loads, that use surface streets to bypass the cross-Manhattan expressway. I would propose that as part of this process you do what it takes to absolutely forbid any truck traffic except for local deliveries. One of the major sources of traffic in the neighborhood are these large trucks blocking intersections, especially at the on-ramp to the GWB at 179th Street and Ft Washington. If you clear 181st street of cars there is a risk that these trucks will simply start using those lanes. I have many pictures and documentation of this if you would like me to send it to you. This busway is long overdue. The corridor is heavily used by bus riders during all hours of the day, and the hours of the lanes should ideally be 24/7, but should at least be from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. to serve people with unconventional work hours.
