This whole intersection feels unsafe and unpleasant. The crossing across Metropolitan here especially feels like a trap. It is poorly marked and I get the impression it doesn't mesh well with the light timing--every time I attempt to cross with the signal it feels like cars are coming at me.
I walk up Union Ave frequently to access McCarren Park. This intersection feels especially dangerous. Lots of conflict points, high car speeds, wide roads--I wish there was a safer way to access the park.
Library crossing with many kids. Cars do not yield. Needs at least a stop sign.
53 trucks trailers speeding through lights, honking, double parking. Was a disaster. This is a residential neighborhood and these trucks are illegally oversized and nothing happens. Terrible effort by DOT and NYPD. Fix it.

Lack of physical barrier to cars parking here in a major thoroughfare. It would be nice if a little greenery could be added as well, it’s a very dense concrete area
There is no cross walk or bump outs and a lot of parking that blocks pedestrians from crossing. Considering this is the immediate exit south for commuters on the L from Manhattan it feels like an easy high impact place
