Clinton St - Hamilton Ave - Mill St

This is the most utilized route for pedestrian/bicyclists, yet it is extremely dangerous. This route is the main way to get to the F/G Smith 9th St stop, so it must be updated for safety reasons. The crosswalk on the west side of Hamilton Avenue has many blind spots for pedestrians due to the columns under the BQE. Under the BQE, there is always construction and broken guardrails, which makes it dangerous for pedestrians waiting under the BQE to cross Hamilton Avenue in either direction. There needs to be more pedestrian/ bicyclist bridges over the BQE to make it safer (like the one from Nelson St that crosses over to Henry St)

Traffic turning onto W 9th street from Hamilton Ave higher than speed limit. The street is curved with side street parking so there are a lot of blind spots for drivers turning onto the road as well.

Please improve pedestrian safety at this intersection! There are a lot of desperate drivers here trying to get onto Hamilton, the BQE, etc., so crossing is always incredibly dangerous. Bike lanes on Court St would be a very improvement too – there is currently no good southbound bike infrastructure into Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens.

Van Brunt St - Hamilton Ave - Brooklyn

The signage at this intersection needs updated. Drivers are unclear on who has the right of way when turning right from Hamilton to van brunt or right onto van brunt from Summit. AdditionallyTesla double parks many cars making visibility and navigation through the intersection problematic.

This instersection needs another stop sign to make it a 4-way stop . Cars speed down Comumbia street and the ability to see in either direction when at the stop sign on summit is limited. This is in part due to the increase in traffic since construction started on the BQE.

Degraw St - Columbia St - Brooklyn

The intersection at Degraw and Columbia is extremely dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians because cars turning r. off Columbia onto Degraw often don't stop for red lights and trucks and cars heading for the BQE from Columbia and turning left Degraw charge into the intersection, blocking pedestrians and cyclists, ignoring lights. I've filed multiple complaints at least asking for a delayed light for cyclists and pedestrians but the DOT and NYPD literally respond that traffic is normal, no problems. Obviously, other people have observed the same thing, as witnessed here. I'm adding my voice to this, as the refusal of responsible officials to even acknowledge the problem is extremely frustrating.

Drivers speed through intersection and don’t yield to pedestrians, most of whom are children trying to get to school.

Hugh L Carey Tunnel - Hugh L Carey Tunnel - Hugh L Carey Tunnel Approach

Tesla cars are backed up along Imlay and around the corner, forcing drivers to use the bike lane to get access to the traffic light. Particularly dangerous b/c the line of cars awaiting service not visible until after the turn.

Beard St - Richards St - Dwight St - Brooklyn

On Beard Street from Van Brunt to Columbia Street, the Amazon drivers go at dangerous speeds and along Beard and enter/exit from the Amazon warehouse at excessive speeds and without checking for pedestrians traversing their driveways. It is particularly dangerous at night. Also trucks parked along Beard Street obscure the view of the sidewalks.
