Ferris St needs bike lanes! It's part of the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway route. There should be some sort of bike infrastructure.
Conover St bike lane (King to Pioneer), part of Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway, needs to be protected. It has appeared as a protected bike lane on every DOT bike map since 2014, but in reality, it has always just been an unprotected, buffered bike lane. Cars and trucks frequently drive or park in the bike lane and this is especially hazardous to southbound cyclists who are then put in the path of oncoming traffic. Put some Jersey barriers in the buffer!

I would very much like to see improved traffic control here, particularly red light cameras and other automated enforcement. Ideally the volume of cars/trucks using Hicks as a bypass for the BQE can be significantly reduced – there are so many cars speeding through here at all times, running lights, etc. They should be down on the highway, not up here!
Please please please add a traffic light at President and Columbia we desperately need it. Lots of kids on the street and neighborhood and I can’t tell you how many times trucks and cars come barreling down the street and have almost hit people. I’ve sent it at least 10 times in just this last week.
Large trucks constantly park on the southeast corner and make pulling out of this street extremely dangerous. I have had numerous near misses in the years that I have lived here. It really is an awful corner to pull out of. It's very active due to the 2 corner stores across from each other on President.
Cross Columbia Street at President Street is very dangerous and I wish for a stop sign or street lights. It is so dangerous because your line of sight is blocked by cars parking illegally in front of a corner store at 247 Columbia St. There is a playground and soon to be school at the end of that street on Vanbrunt. It draws a lot of families in our area and is an accident waiting to happen. If you are driving down President trying to turn left on Columbia, it's impossible to do that safely. It's like rolling the dice every time. I only turn right and even that feels sketchy because cars are blocking your view.
Every day I try to cross Van Brunt Street @ Hamilton headed towards the park. Cars and trucks on Hamilton whip around toward the left there and don't seem to be aware that this IS a pedestrian crossing, too. I've nearly been struck down countless times.
The speed at which cars and trucks roar through this neighborhood is extremely dangerous. This is a residential area! It's nearly impossible to cross here safely, between parked trucks blocking sight lines, fast-moving traffic, and general congestion. Due to Cabrini Playground, President street is a draw for children and caregivers, and this intersection is literally an accident waiting to happen.
