There are many programs like Christmas tree recycling and community activities for the elderly and young kids. Bike racks would block access to the park.

This corner is not suitable for a bike station. It would block access to the park, and create a barrier for people who bring dogs and strollers to the park. You cannot take our parking spots so close to the bus stops and the park just because some bike riders are too lazy to walk two blocks to the stand that already exists.
This corner is a high foot traffic area and blocking this corner entrance to the park interferes with strollers and wheelchairs.
This area is the only parking for the express bus, local bus, and park goers. Bike stands should not take parking from this area. There are better spots on the park side, or by the pier.
Bad spot for Citibikes. You have too much pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Staff and students walking. Heavy school bus traffic in addition to the many city buses. And let’s not forget parents driving their kids for drop off and pick up
Terrible spot. The city is already removing parking spots near here on an annual basis. This will just stress this area that is dense with apartment buildings even more.

5th Ave in general is a good idea, especially this location. When 4th Ave gets a protected bike lane, people are still going to ride to the stores and restaurants, like Gino’s on Fifth Ave.
If this is a strange turn that drivers have trouble with, the streets should be closed to car traffic and filled with CitiBike docks
A location near the subway station on 77th st would be perfect
