On a main avenue
A dock in this triangle park would provide excellent connectivity from bike to transit hubs.
Let’s expand as far east as we can :)
Having citi bike stations along the Q train line and B68 line would be a first step in giving access to South Brooklyner's who are currently completely omitted from the system.
This is a great place for Citi bikes as it is right across from the playground and would make it easier for people to get too and from this valuable public space.
Extra docks around this station would help increase capacity for commuters
There’s a school on 14th avenue and 42nd street and on 15th avenue. This will be convenient for middle school students and the teachers that work in both class.
There is already overwhelming demand for Citibike stations on Cortelyou Road and it can be difficult to find parking for Citibike at nearby station. Given this demonstrated demand from current riders, an additional station on Cortelyou Road east of Coney Island Ave is warranted.
Placing stations as close to the F train on Ditmas Ave would be ideal! Because this station would be near transit it is important to have as much parking/capacity as possible so that riders can be confident to find both parking and bikes on their way to and from the subway when making connections.
