Good Citi Bike Station location
Good Location for a Citi Bike Station
Ft Hamilton Parkway - East 3 St - East 2 St

This block has a lot of small businesses that might benefit from having a Citibike location nearby. Also, right by a school, and the subway is not far away.

If you have to put a Citibike Station at a Green-Wood Cemetery entrance, this entrance is probably the best one, as it is the main entrance used by the employees of Green Wood, and is open to the public 7 days a week, year round. Because it is the service entrance, it would not be as disruptive a location as the main 25th St. entrance, and it is also very close to the 36th street subway station.

Prospect Expressway Exit 5 Wb - Ocean Parkway - Prospect Expressway

There is an area along Ocean Parkway service road, right alongside the Brooklyn Queens Greenway, which already prohibits on-street parking. This currently empty area is also nearby residential buildings and the Park Circle entrance to Prospect Park. It is also a short walk from the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway station.

Above the subway entrance at Fort Hamilton Parkway, inside of the park that hosts Greenwood Playground, there is a paved path with plenty of space to have a CitiBike station. It would also be a good last mile point after using the subway. It is also nearby a school, a church, business district, and residential buildings.

This area is an underutilized park between three major thruways. It is also along a bike path from Fort Hamilton Parkway that allows cyclists to go west along 12th Avenue toward Borough Park and Sunset Park.

This area in the Prospect Park Parade Grounds hosts lots of unused pavement that would be ideal for folks traveling to use the facilities including the ball fields and the Kensington Dog Run.

This location is right off of the Ocean Parkway bike lane/Brooklyn-Queens Greenway and near the Park Circle entrance to Prospect Park. It is also nearby residential buildings but not intrusive because of the large sidewalk landing near the base of the E. 8th Street Footbridge.

This is a bad location for a Citi Bike station because this entrance to Greenwood cemetery is usually closed 5 days out of the week. During the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been open 7 days a week. If this entrance to this private cemetery is not generally going to be open to the public, a station here would be useless and rarely used, except for weekend tourists (not commuters).

This is a bad area for a Citi Bike station. Please do not put a bike station right at the entrance to Green-Wood Cemetery. It is an active cemetery, and does not need a messy bike station for tourists right in front of it. If you feel the need to put one near the entrance, have some tact and put it a block away from the 25th street entrance.
