dock by ferry for multimodal transport
on the entrance to city college
There is a major need for more capacity in this area. There are several new residential buildings here, the one directly adjacent to this location has over 900 units. I would estimate that there are about 2.5k units of housing within a 5 minute walk of this location. Additionally, there are two hotels and one hostel a block away, it is directly to the E, M R subway station, and a protected bike lane that serves Northern Blvd, and the Queens Borough Bridge. There is also ample sidewalk space. Additionally, docks in this area are constantly low on bikes.
A station near pier 42 on FDR
Station would serve high traffic locations like the Mall, Mercado, The Edge, and the Whole Foods above it. The street is a relatively low traffic street that does not have much parking. The station would likely see high utilization
I would like to add a Citibike station here
The eastern parkway brooklyn museum Citi bike stop should be moved to the sidewalk median. Most people use the median subway entrance because that side is closer to all of the residential buildings. this would also make the station directly next to a protected bike lane. (as opposed to having to cross one of the busiest streets in Brooklyn to get to it.)
Can you PLEASE put a citibike station close to the tennis courts on Randall's island at the end of Randalls Is (street)? There aren't many good public transportation options there and it would be greatly appreciated to cut out the 10 or so minute walk from the Icahn Stadium Station.
You need to add stations/docks to Red Hook. It is a transit desert and when the crowds visit on the weekends, it is impossible to find an empty dock. Weeknights can be tough, too, since everyone has to either bike or take a bus to the neighborhood. There is so much space to add docks, it shouldn't be controversial.
