This map is out of date and doesn't even include the new streets down here - but there should be bike rack coverage in the rapidly developing residential and parkland areas of Hunter's Point.
UPS Customer Center is here - let people bike to pick up their missed packages!
Citibike should have some docks INSIDE Prospect Park! Two possible locations would be by the Picnic House & by the Boathouse/Audubon Center. There is definitely demand just from people meeting in the park for picnics, sports games, and whatnot. Lots of people bring their own bikes into the park, but those who use Citibike have to dock outside the park and walk a fair amount. If Citibike makes sense on Randall's Island, it makes sense here too.
There is no Citibike station on this side of the BQE in any reasonable distance or direction. The dock would be best placed inside of the triangle formed by Driggs, Morgan, and Meeker.
There should be a dock directly adjacent to the S 4th St westbound bike lane that takes North Brooklyn commuters to the Williamsburg bridge. This corner on Union Ave is a good location because there is plenty of curbside space on the east side of the street.
Kent Ave should be a bikeway, but barring that there needs to be more capacity on this stretch,
Marcy is one of the busiest stops and needs a dock
End the cowardice and put bike share in South Williamsburg. We can't allow one group to stop expansion of green infrastructure in the time of climate change. The DOT needs to start governing for all NYers, and not letting small well funded groups block progress.
We need stations in Central Park. This is a huge missed opporuntity.
