Excellent place for bikes. No worry on car traffic, tons of walkers that would happily hop on a bike to go downtown.

Excellent place for bikes. No worry on car traffic, tons of walkers that would happily hop on a bike to go downtown.
Traffic in this area is horrendous. People frequently blow stop signs AND red lights. Traffic is from Riverside Drive off ramp and then also to West side highway on ramp via Haven. Death trap.
Terrible place to put a station: traffic is exiting the bridge ramp and the West Side Highway. Traffic is accessing the HH Parkway. Congestion is the norm. Adding to it? Madness.
I think it should go on the sidewalk where the bike lane is already established between the Hillside and Dyckman street, on fort George hill. It would not remove parking spots nor will it stop foot traffic for people walking on that sidewalk.
Right off the A train. Less residential. Great spot for people from all different neighborhoods to have access.
The place has room enough for bikes
This is a great spot for a dock, as it is right by the city tennis courts, a rest station, and has lots of open space in which to put a dock as the pedestrian path splits in two with a large area in the middle.
This is a major and very unsafe intersection, 155 and Edgecombe, and adding a dock here is a recipe for physical harm to cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists.
At an intersection of two streets with shared bike lanes, including a main east-west connection to the Hudson River greenway and right next to the John Brush stairs, 158th and Edgecombe is a logical spot. The sidewalk on the east side of edgecombe at 158 is currently separated from the street by a long stretch of big rocks. It could easily accommodate a dock instead.
