Dean St - New York Ave - Brooklyn Ave

This is a great location that would not interfere with car traffic and would provide much needed access to citibikes for cyclists.

the southeast corner of Bergen St and Nostrand Avenue would be an excellent location for a station. Wide sidewalks here might allow the station to be placed off the street? Close to busy Nostrand street and same side of street as the Bergen bike lane

The north east corner of Dean St and New York Ave would be an excellent location for a Citibike station. Extra-wide sidewalks here allow plenty of space for pedestrians, autos, and bikes alike. Proximity to bus stop and well-trafficked east-bound Dean St bit lane also pluses. Proximity to multiple churches which support community organizations, all of which might realize the benefit of additional participation as a result of the increased access citibike provides.

This would be a good location, well located close to busy Nostrand Ave, the LIRR station, and busy bike lane on Dean.

Not suitable for Citi Bike Station
Location Not Suitable for Citi Bike Station
Dean St - Nostrand Ave - New York Ave

Dean Street between Nostrand and New York Ave is bracketed by two large beautiful churches one at the corner of Nostrand with dedicated parking and another at the corner of New York that spills over onto Dean. They have been there before I moved to this block almost 30 years ago and remain an asset. We also have neighbors with driveway cutout that again impinge on the ability to park our cars. The addition of a Citi Bike access point will lead to further loss; our block is largely owner occupied with large commercial buildings, it is also a block that is always featured as an example of historic architecture, the addition of a bike access point will greatly take away from it's asthetic.

There are bike lanes on both Brooklyn and Bergen aves, s station here would fit in with existing bike lanes. It would also provide access to the Children’s museum, which currently is serving as a pick up and drop library branch. Every library branch should have a citibike dock!
