On the sidewalk please
On the sidewalk please
DOT please erase my comment saying my son wanted citibike here. It should not go in front of private houses. It should be at Gorman and the strip mall.
This is incredibly congested, because people routinely double-park along 37th avenue. Somewhere near here on one of the North-South streets would be better,
Blink Fitness is heavily used, and there is space on the pavement there
I didn't understand how this worked when I said my son wants Citibike here. I thought the dot was placed by the DOT. I agree with others. Citibike should not go in front of private homes. It should be at commercial spaces or parks like Gorman.
Citibike dock here will help bring customers to the small businesses along Roosevelt from other parts of the neighborhood by expanding the radius of quick trips people can take without a car.
The local library branch is a natural place for a dock
A bike dock on the street near the intersection would be perfect to daylight the intersection. When driving it is dangerous turning out of the parking lot because parked cars frequently obstruct visibility of oncoming cross traffic. A dock here would also be convenient for people around the neighborhood to come to the bakery and restaurants here. I would come much more often with a bike dock.
We do want bikes in this neighborhood. We can have bikes AND better public transit. We are glad that DOT is listening to all residents, not just the ones who are loudly anti-open streets. Take your lumps and move on please.
No more parking spaces should be taken away, people need vehicles for work and visiting family and friends. City is already talking about expanded zip car, is this an extra revenue path for city coffers.
