Eastern Rockaway Access

A transportation study to improve access to jobs, services, retail, and the rest of the city.

Thank you to all who stopped and pointed out transportation challenges in the Eastern Rockaways! NYCDOT Ambassadors spoke with about 120 residents, jotting down their comments on maps, entering feedback directly to this portal, and/or handing out flyers about the upcoming workshop on Dec 15th.

NYCDOT Ambassadors will be stationed outside Eastern Rockaways grocery stores the day before Thanksgiving to catch you last-minute shoppers en route to picking up recipe necessities. We will be thankful for any amount of time you can spare to share your thoughts about transportation challenges within the Rockaways and to and from the rest of the city. Here's where you can find NYCDOT Ambassadors on Wednesday, November 25th:

Bravo Supermarkets (32-11 Beach Channel Dr at Beach 32^nd St): 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Compare Foods (Wavecrest Shopping Center, 245 Beach 20th St): 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Key Food (87-15 Rockaway Beach Blvd): 2:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Food Dynasty (20-52 Mott Ave): 2:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.
