Existing Conditions - June 28 2016 Update Presentation
This presentation summarizes the public input we heard last fall, highlights results of the existing conditions analysis we performed over the winter, and explains our focus area selection process. Join our outreach events in the Rockaways to choose and prioritize short-term improvements you'd like to see along the focus corridors of Rockaway Freeway, Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Beach Channel Drive, and Seagirt Boulevard. We'll be incorporating your ideas and priorities into short term improvement designs we'll be developing over the rest of the summer and fall.
Project Update: March 29, 2016
Over the month of April 2016, the Access to Opportunity TIGER grant has collected traffic data for the Eastern Rockaways study area. We are now preparing an existing conditions report-back to the community scheduled for late June 2016 where residents can suggest street improvements that they’d like to see in the focus areas they identified back in December 2015. The attached presentation summarizes the community-identified focus areas and goals and priorities that came out of the public input process.
