Eastern Rockaway Access

A transportation study to improve access to jobs, services, retail, and the rest of the city.

Thank you to all those who attended Tuesday's workshop! At the meeting, we summarized the public input we heard last fall and the results of the existing conditions analysis we performed over the winter. Then we ran an interactive exercise for residents to visualize and prioritize short-term improvements at focus areas clustered around four main corridors: Rockaway Freeway, Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Beach Channel Drive, and Seagirt Boulevard. We'll be incorporating your ideas and priorities into short term improvement designs we'll be developing over the rest of the summer and fall. Stay tuned!
