Good connection point to greenway
When building out the greenway adjacent to the Deegan Expressway, see if any adjacent ramps can be repurposed or jointly turned into access points from the surface streets to the greenway. That includes here at Van Cortlandt Park South ramp.
Need safe crossing from the park to Putnam Avenue West. There is a park entrance here
Cars Turning or going straight don't yield to pedestrians even when the pedestrian sign is on. This route can be used as a pedestrian to get the Mill Pond Park/Bronx Children's Museum or into Harlem and the parks on the other side of the Bridge a
Difficult to Cross to get to the Bridge as a Pedestrian. Crossing sections are too wide with too many crossing points.
