When the north walk reopens on the RFK, bikes need to be permitted so one can easily ride and connect with the Harlem River Greenway in Manhattan once the 125-135 St segment opens.
Why force the bikes onto the sidewalk for this narrow stretch?
Put the bike lane against the sidewalk protected by the parked cars, for more space angle the parking spaces.
Dark around here at night.
This intersection is uncomfortable for all road users.
Large public space opportunity. Street should be demapped from automotive traffic.
A pedestrian/bike bridge at this location could connect both sides of the Aqueduct Walk over W Burnside Ave.
It extremely dangerous to enter the park on foot here. Must run across highway ramps and walk along the side of the road with no sidewalk.
Im glad this project is finally becoming a reality
The Bronx Greenway will take a decade to build. While that is understandable, it's not fair to make people wait further for these important connections. Please build interim connections, immediately, using on-street redesigns. Bailey Ave is a too-wide street (former streetcar ROW) that borders green space and can easily be redesigned without seriously impacting auto capacity while providing a two-way bikeway on the west side of the street. Please implement this from W225th to VCP as soon as possible.
