Pedestrian stairs or bike ramp from Harlem River Park connecting onto 145th Street Bridge's sidewalk would vastly reduce the commute for many Riverbend Houses residents visiting Bronx Terminal Market, Hostos, Mill Pond Park, and the future Greenway in the Bronx. This would be an enjoyable walk. Walking around Colonel Charles Young Playground takes a long time, and walking under the Major Deegan Expressway takes the same amount of time, but is dark, deserted and feels unsafe.
