College Point Blvd is wide enough to get a good protected bike lane - should be further connected.

This corridor will close gaps in cycling routes from Long Island City to Astoria to East Elmhurst to Fort Totten. Running parallel to the Long Island Sound, this route will improve transportation options throughout New York City's most diverse borough and enhance park access for Queens neighborhoods with limited green space. Connecting these neighborhoods with an active transportation network will particularly benefit Queens residents living within much of the planning area who are underserved by public transit access.

Bridge is terrible. Needs improvement, should be priority to be improved. Take away a travel lane and expand the bike lane. The fence is poor - not good enough.
Connection between College Point Blvd to Queens Library would/should be possible from Sanford Ave -> Moving towards Rec center
Treatment example on Boat Basin Pl. & Shea Rd from the presentation was not ideal: - Pushing bike lane on some place natural is better - otherwise people end up taking dirt or path. - It is hard intersection but biker will take shortcut since it’s hard to follow path.
Basin Place & Shea Rd feels unsafe. Traffic is confusing & speeding trucks. Bike lane in itself is not enough - it needs more treatment for drivers as well.
For 7.3 - during events & NYPD blocked since it is so congested. Might not be great option since Roosevelt Ave is so busy. People on streets, strollers and so much more. Our game - they move around a lot after parking.
6.1 proximity doesn't mean much - since it's just airport 6.3 is option as good alternative 6.2 is better since is more direct & the lane would make it calmer too
- Bike lane up 108th St could use another bike lane such on Ditmars Blvd. It is very wide and serves as a good connection. - 108th St. north of 30th needs protected bike lane
Both 6.2 & 6.3 together. North-south connections between them would be essential. They should be connected to Malcolm X Promenade nonetheless.
- Do bike center median two way bike lane idea - Astoria Blvd is bustling - 23rd Ave connection is definitely useful.
