(E-W) Ditmars is a desired line for people traveling from Astoria Park. 20th Ave capital project would make a nice option.
Please use the map below to provide any feedback, concerns, or suggestions you have regarding the Queens Waterfront Greenway. Please be as specific as possible.
This corridor will close gaps in cycling routes from Long Island City to Astoria to East Elmhurst to Fort Totten. Running parallel to the Long Island Sound, this route will improve transportation options throughout New York City's most diverse borough and enhance park access for Queens neighborhoods with limited green space. Connecting these neighborhoods with an active transportation network will particularly benefit Queens residents living within much of the planning area who are underserved by public transit access.

Access from 19th St - there is ADA access - there are only stairs. People with strollers, wheelchairs face issues.
31st Ave and turn to Vernon intersect, it's not stopped/controlled
Tricky exit from Costco / Vernon bike meets
In front of Costco - where Costco exit - "not ideal" -> could go behind it - save people from aggressive drivers. -> way to re-engineer parking lot access
Concern if bike path would make waterfront inaccessible to pedestrians.
Go east along the river would be beautiful from Vernon Blvd to 1st Street.
2.1 - is great to make a continuous path connecting to 1.1
2.2 - is where bikers are - Intersection of Queens Plaza South & Vernon Blvd is complex to navigate
2.2 - unprotected segment is a huge problem; when snow is not cleared people are forced on a roadway Vernon segment should be a priority to be consistent
