The bike lane just ends after the bridge, this results in an awkward merge on the roadway or bikes riding on the sidewalk
Please use the map below to provide any feedback, concerns, or suggestions you have regarding the Queens Waterfront Greenway. Please be as specific as possible.
This corridor will close gaps in cycling routes from Long Island City to Astoria to East Elmhurst to Fort Totten. Running parallel to the Long Island Sound, this route will improve transportation options throughout New York City's most diverse borough and enhance park access for Queens neighborhoods with limited green space. Connecting these neighborhoods with an active transportation network will particularly benefit Queens residents living within much of the planning area who are underserved by public transit access.

There are many conflicts between cars turning into skyview and the path onto the bridge.
finish the jackson ave bike lane
protected bike lane on jackson connecting the existing segments please. currently it’s quite dangerous cuz it expands to two car lanes for what, 1.5 blocks? which drivers use to slam on the gas to pass each other…just for it to reduce back to one lane
Begging you for a bus lane on Astoria Boulevard between 21st St and 31st St. That's all that is needed. The Q19 crawls because of car traffic, the chaotic intersection of 31st St and Astoria Blvd, and cars making illegal left turns from Astoria Blvd onto 30th St southbound. A bus lane would fix the 19 so much.
Cars coming off highway. Very wide roadway. Does not feel safe as a cyclist
Would be great to have better protection on 34th Ave between Junction and 114th. Drivers drive into the unprotected bike lane all the time.
Difficult to make any turn here on a bike - lots of cars
The protected bike lane starting at 50th Ave on Center Blvd is constantly filled with pedestrians walking their dogs or kids in strollers making it difficult for novice cyclists to use the bike lane safely. Pedestrians seem to think it's a walking lane. Better signage is needed. There is no protected bike lane from 49th Ave to N. Basin Rd and there are always double parked cars on both sides of Center Blvd, forcing cyclists to navigate around vehicles.
Biking on Northern Blvd is terrifying
