Socrates Park is not city-owned - eventually greenway could run through here instead of the Costco parking lot.
Please use the map below to provide any feedback, concerns, or suggestions you have regarding the Queens Waterfront Greenway. Please be as specific as possible.
This corridor will close gaps in cycling routes from Long Island City to Astoria to East Elmhurst to Fort Totten. Running parallel to the Long Island Sound, this route will improve transportation options throughout New York City's most diverse borough and enhance park access for Queens neighborhoods with limited green space. Connecting these neighborhoods with an active transportation network will particularly benefit Queens residents living within much of the planning area who are underserved by public transit access.

3.1 is preferable - lots of new developments there.
2.1 is a million times superior - across from the skyline on the water
strongly prefer 2.1 - Vernon could use the update (18 yr old lane)
gap near Queensbridge Park should be filled
Pulaski Bridge is a huge problem - long-term needs another lane on the other side.
Strongly in favor of the waterfront route - 1.1 and 2.1.

This pond, and the one next to it, should be opened to the public. Con Ed does not use this space. They were former gas tanks and now they act as unintentional wildlife preserves for birds. Please open this up to the public like they did with the gas tanks in Ridgewood.
Add a bike and pedestrian lane to the Throgs Neck bridge. It's time. Thanks!
