Perfect location is by the main gate here at Queens College. Tons of college students including myself could benefit from the scooter pilot if dedicated parking was right in front of campus instead of relying on public buses which are usually unreliable and overcrowded.
163rd St and Jamaica Av is a good spot. At the corner of many retail businesses including Primark, Cold Stone, Blink Fitness, City MD, and much more at this intersection.
Need more corrals along Hillside and Jamaica Aves east of Parsons. The proposed corral map mainly has them along 89th Ave in said area, which is a very long block from either Hillside and Jamaica Aves, which is where most pedestrians are. Hillside Ave from 161st through 164th Streets should have at least 2 corrals as well as Merrick and 169th St. Jamaica Ave is a very busy shopping corridor and should have corrals every other block east of Parsons.
Linden blvd and francis Lewis
Not suitable. Multiple driveways on Linden.
Major residential hub right between several schools, temple and a university. This location will provide local residents with a mode of transportation.
New wide sidewalk recently built at over-pass which has plenty of room for escooter parking. Location is near Queens Blvd, Jamaica Ave and Jamaica Hospital.
I wish you were going further west! But here on the edge of the zone with access to the jamaica/hillside bus routes would be helpful.
I frequently see empty parking spaces here, so it seems like a low impact spot to lose free street parking. LOTS of people using scooters at the library already too, seems like it's a popular way to get around the area.
A safe and spacious location. Could be used regularly by gym and shop goers.
