This is the fifth time one of these scooters has been left on the sidewalk in front of my house blocking access to the wheelchair cut on my corner or the sidewalk. Every day there are anywhere from 1 to 7 of these things just left up and down the block, blocking the sidewalk or the street and sometimes I find them on my front lawn. This is a poorly organized and implemented "program" that was thrust on my neighborhood against the desires of the residents, the Community Board and the City Council representative from the area. We are the taxpayers and we are being disrespected and ignored. In political terms, disenfranchised - a very bad idea in an already charged election year. How dare the city treat the people who pay for all the city does - the actual taxpaying residents - this way. And as to the DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez, what would your response have been when you were a City Counsel member if something like this was foist upon you constituents against your expressed support!! I report anywhere upwards of 20 escooters just left all over the area every morning I have the time to take the pictures and load them to the portal. Look at this map and you will see how many I have reported and this is just @ 4 days worth. Its just a matter of time until someone trips and falls over one of these things and who will they sue-the homeowner! It should be the escooter company, the person who last rented the escooter, and the city! This is a terrible program. All the rhetoric about its value does not apply to this area - to whit, they are placed in areas underserved by public transportation. Just not true. we have the subway, multitudinous buses, the LIRR, taxies, UBERS, etc. These just add congestion and danger since they are often driven on the sidewalk (supposedly not allowed) and are driven with little regard for traffic laws. Consider this a failed experiment and end it now. Or if it must stay revamp it to address all these issues and not be a nuisance to the residents.

This is the third time I have had one of these abandoned in front of my house. Twice this week. Thus program is mismanaged and has to stop or be seriously revamped. They are being abandoned all over the neighborhood blocking sidewalks, intersections and streets. They are dangerous especially in the dark.

Terrible spot for these nuisance bikes to be dropped. They are left blocking entrances for 2 days.

AGAIN a bike is abandoned in front of my house . It has been here for three days. Right now there are 4 abandoned bikes on my one block. I have already reported the other multiple times - nothing happens This program is not working. It is a burden on the home owners who have to be sure while these abandoned bikes are on their property they are not an impediment to either traffic or pedestrians. And what if someone falls over one or pretends to, the first one sued will be the homeowner. This was not supported by the community board, our city council member or the community which got no notice or opportunity for input End it now.

This island is a good parking area away from businesses and pedestrian sidewalk. Supermarket so good traffic for possible rental.
