Whoever is saying this is a bad spot is crazy and is probably a jerk who is worried about loosing a parking spot (which they will not). There is plenty of room to put a spot on the corner hear, there is very light one way traffic and it is a great location, kind of out of the way of cars.
Available parking spaces are already limited by the driveways of a commercial property at 1150 Prospect Ave where parking is not permitted on nearly the entire southern side of the street between Terrace Place and the Seeley Street Overpass.

In the roadbed at this corner to help daylighting
Near this subway stop and bus stop is imperative. In the roadbed could help with daylighting this corner.
Somewhere along this strip with the beer garden and not too far from the middle school would be great
Near the parking lot for Wallgreens/Key Food would be a convenient location for shopping, etc.
There are many great reasons for this location: - Near the public library - Near the Fort Hamilton F/G subway stop - Connects to Prospect Park via bike lane - Near Greenwood Playground - Near PS130
The entrance to Prospect Park at 16th st and PPSW has tons of space and would be excellent for citibikes
