Please add a citibike station outside NYU Langone Brooklyn Hospital at 150 55th Street. The street is already closed off to most vehicle thru-traffic and parking is not permitted anyway, so no cars would be displaced by a citibike station. As a large medical center there should be as many options as possible to commute or visit the location. Biking is an ideal socially-distanced transportation option during these times.
There is a cutout in the sidewalk here that would work well for a Station. And it's close to schools, the park, and Ocean Parkway bike path.
Citibike here please. Need one in the neighborhood!
At an enclosed bike lane. Close to library and school.
Location is close to the ferry and it's a good alternative to get around Sunset Park in a bike than take public transportation.
Sunset Park is already inundated with numerous Cars that have no place to park, Delivery Trucks that drive up streets that have a "No Trucks" sign on the corner, Revel Scooters that are wedged between cars that take up valuable parking or parked illegally in the street that block cars in from getting out of their spots. Sunset Park is not a place to place CitiBikes!!! Adding Citibikes will only add to the chaos that already exists with regards to pedestrians & parking spots!!
teachers can't have it all, they can't demand to stay at home and not teach, or demand more money yet not teach, or demand no bike stations because they want free illegal parking.
so you think bicycles near the cemetery--and this location is a block away and not anywhere near it--are disrespectful, yet a subway station right AT the cemetery and running through it, plus cars speeding by the cemetery with loud radios, honking, etc. are not disrespectful. can we just say you may be cra cra muy loco?
What would Jesus say, he would say yes, put a bike station here. Focus not on good looks or what's convenient to YOU, but instead learn to work with one another, foster community, and love thy neighbor.
