the problem is not citibike, but with parking in general. it's ridiculous one can steal public space to use as private car storage for unlimited hours at free or nominal cost. before 1955 people had to park in garages and on teh street parking all over the city was limited to 2 hours. after 1955, you were allowed to park overnight, and now the situation has gotten out of hand that nobody is willing to do anything about it for fear of being ostracized and voted out of office. parking has become an entitlement. we can break the cycle by taking back public space for public use. put in a station here and encourage bicycling and pedestrian use.
What would Jesus say, he would say yes, put a bike station here. When you say "the church is beautiful and the station would look weird in front of it" is basically idolatry and a sin. Focus not on good looks or what's convenient, but instead learn to work with one another, foster community , and love thy neighbor.
double park like everybody else. majority rules. ridiculous you are allowed to use public space to privately park your garbage unlimited hours for free or nominal cost.
The Windsor Place intersection has ample open space to add a docking station. It would be out of the way of traffic and can be placed in an area that is currently unused by car and foot traffic.
The southest entrance to Prospect Park is the perfect place for a CitiBike dock. There are ample room and has great access to bike lanes in all directions.
I currently walk 40 minutes to the nearest Citibike terminal from the Brooklyn Army Terminal. It feels unsafe at night. This would be a game changer for me!
This street used by emergency vehicles from NYU Langone to get across town. Too narrow for bike share.
Plenty of space near the subway entrance and overpass over Prospect Expressway
Hi! I like at 260-65th Street. I would love to have a citi bike station in front of my building. I would also like there to be one at the ferry terminals in Bay Ridge and Sunset Park. Thank you for expanding this service to my neighborhood!
