Good Citi Bike Station location
Good Location for a Citi Bike Station
55 St - 1 Ave - 2 Ave

This street is used mostly as car storage for NYU Brooklyn Hospital Employees, who already have garages and other parking facilities nearby. It has very little to no through traffic. Adding a station here would help serve essential workers at the hospital, and strengthen our city's transportation networks as it is close to a bus stop and fairly near a ferry. It is also near a park, and several local businesses. Great spot!

This corner of 60th Street and 4 Ave is a fantastic space for a Citibike Station. It is across the street from a park and school, next to a subway station and bus stops for the B9 and the two spaces pictured here on Street View which are currently "truck loading only" are never used as such.

This site is next to a park, near Bay Ridge Towers (which has thousands of residents), and would help daylight an intersection that is often occupied by large vehicles.

Citibike stations near all Green-Wood entrances are great ideas, because they will facilitate visits without automobiles. Stations are not "disrespectful" as some commenters have suggested. (What is truly disrespectful is driving in the cemetery.) My wife is in Green-Wood; I visit her frequently; I have no car; currently I Citibike as close to Green-Wood as I can and have to walk the rest of the way.

The corner of 57th St and 1st Ave would be a great place for a Citibike Station for folks accessing the ferry, Brooklyn Army Terminal, and NYU Langone facilities. 57th St already has a bike lane and 1st Ave sees less vehicular traffic than 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave, so would be a safer location.

The corner of 57th St and 4th Ave would be a great location for a Citibike station because it would be right next to the protected bike lane on 4th Ave and near bike lanes on 57th St and 58th St that folks can use to navigate away from 4th Ave.

Citibike docks should be installed as part of a fully protected bikeway and traffic calming upgrade on 36th Street. The lanes should be narrowed/dieted and the bike path should be on the cemetery side and physically separated from traffic. This location would allow MTA workers to commute to work more easily. Parking should be removed from the cemetery side.
