17th Street at 7th Ave is a calmer street than Prospect Ave at 7th Ave to park bikes and disembark from. A station could be placed at the corner on the south side of the street adjacent to Detective Joseph Mayrose Park. This would also give some breathing room from cars picking up and dropping off directly at the PS 10 school. It would be nice to have a dock at either intersection though, to more easily reach both nearby F/G stops, the R stop on 4th Ave, and to reach Prospect Park. Currently it is a burden to reach these train stops especially when carrying bags, groceries, etc with no bike docks currently nearby this section of 7th Ave.
near to greenways and schools and subway in bay ridge
To the comments regarding not placing stations near the cemetery: this cemetery, from the beginning of its history, was always intended to double as a park for the public. There is no shame in allowing people to visit it, and no loss in so-called "tact" by placing stations near the entrance. People will always visit, and having bikes nearby for access has no impact on respecting those who lay at rest. Further, these would not be so-called "dead-end" stations. There are communities nearby who can easily reach them and use them for commuting. Near the cemetery allows both access and a larger amount of space than offered on most city roads or sidewalks.

47th & 5th is a sublime location for a Citibike rack to support the local avid bikers and cold brewers. A perfect distance between community and subway.
I think the corner of 7th and Prospect would be ideal. A couple of schools nearby with lots of traffic in the morning, this could help reduce it. Also the area is pretty far (10 min walk) to both the F,G stations and the R.
There are a lot of young families moving into this area on the border of Kensington / Windsor Terrace that will eagerly sign up for Citibike memberships with a conveniently located station
