Northern Boulevard - 68 St - Bqe Wb Entrance Northern Blvd

While this is not my preferred location, this is the closest location to Jackson Heights where there is a large community of cyclists. Vehicular traffic is very bad here! Cars and trucks crosses north-south and east-west (and vice versa). It makes more sense to have a Citi Bike station at 34th Ave under the BQE where there is a bike lane AND next to one of the most popular Open Streets in the city.

20 Ave - 37 St - 38 St

This is a PERFECT spot for Citibike! a) The side walk is wide so plenty of room for the bikes to be stationed here. b) There is a bike lane right on 20th avenue going in the direction of Astoria Park. c) Fantastic transportation alternative for people who live in the area to get to and from the Ditmars train station. d) SingleCut Beersmiths is around the corner. e) Soon to open Lidl supermarket is right across from Singlecut. f) There is a electronic recycling drop-off point 1/2 block away g) Playground for kids, basketball and handball courts h) And so much more :-)
