Bike Lane Requested
Bike Lane Requested
Queens Boulevard - Horace Harding Expressway - Lie Wb Entrance Queens Blvd

Six lanes of auto traffic here - 3 up & 3 in the tunnel below. Plus a whole swath of other concrete surface. Surely, a bike lane can be squeezed in here, without the foolish turn against traffic that no bicyclist in their right mind will take.

Can we please get some lighting under this bohemouth? It is black even in the sunny daytime. Dangerous for pedestrians & bicyclists.

Extremely wide & dangerous road here, with cars zig-zagging all over the road to enter the Lont Island Expressway, both east & west bound; as well as going straight. Needs a bike lane. (Oh, and no bicyclist is going left here. We are going straight. Please make the bike lane connect; or make the cars go left and go around the block.)

Mall taffic is very congested, dangerous and hectic here, especially with the gas station and the exit from the main road. Sorely needs a protected bike lane.

Very dangerous slip lane. Need a protected bike lane.

Double Parking

There is always double parking going on here, along with very large trucks parked in the middle of the service road, unloading. This makes it very dangerous for bicycling; and provides for traffice congestion. We need to narrow the lane and add a protected bike lane.

This is a huge problem along the service road. In the current configuration it is actually too wide, encouraging double-parking. Using a bike lane and wider pedestrian space to narrow the travel lane would help. Also, loading zones against the sidewalk are needed for merchants.

We desperately need protected bike lanes in the service road. This is a very dense area making it very unsafe for cyclists to try and negotiate along the service road past parked cars, double-parked cars and delivery trucks. Also, in sections such as this one, it is too wide encouraging double-parking.

63 Drive - Queens Boulevard - 63 Rd

This intersection is exceptionally wide and difficult to cross. Cars turning left from 63rd on to Queens Blvd frequently encroach on pedestrians making this one of the more dangerous intersections in this entire study area.

Mid-block crossing not visible enough to drivers/cyclists.
