Cyclists on Queens Blvd heading West are supposed to wait at the light between the stop line and the cross walk, but at this intersection that would leave them in conflict with cars getting on Grand Central.

Car traffic coming from Kew Gardens Road continuing onto Grand Central gets jammed up by drivers continuing on Queens Blvd.
This left turn onto Yellowstone has extremely poor LOS. The traffic for that lane blocks up through the previous intersection leading aggressive drivers to use the middle lane on the blvd to rush right to the intersection and cut in. But is also confusing for polite drivers who don't realize the queue starts so far back. Could there be a longer left turn light cycle there? One that links up with the green on Yellowstone to move people out of the QB intersection after making the left?
We absolutely need the protected bike lane to bring people to these businesses safely while providing people with alternative ways to get around our neighborhood. The streets are being clogged by cars, usually carrying a single person. I am more likely to head east to do my shopping than shop here in Forest Hills, because I have bike lanes I can use safely to go to Elmhurst, Woodside and Sunnyside.
please continue the bike lane on the entire length of Queens Boulevard. I live in Rego Park and have found that the new bike lanes and safer pedestrian crossings really make the street safer and easier to travel on. I'm looking forward to the capital project!
Bike lanes are for the very few, most residents in this community, commute by car or subway. Using a bike is not an option. The people advocating for bikes don't get it. People use cars. Don't take away parking just for the very few who use bikes. Rego Park is in complete chaos over the installation of bike lanes, don't do it in Forest Hills.
Bicycles are an important and affordable transportation option and in most cases the fastest way to get around the city. Queens Blvd now provides a very quick/safe route to move through Queens. A good system of bike lanes allows me to opt out of car ownership, reducing parking requirements and traffic congestion.
They took nearly 200 spots away in Rego Park. They will take nearly 400 spots away in Forest Hills. This will kill our quality of life. The City must listen to the voice of the local residents, not the environmental people and the Manhattan crowd - WE DON'T WANT BIKE LANES. Keep them in Manhattan and elsewhere not here. I like my car, I need my car and I will continue to drive my car, as well the tens of thousands of people who live in Forest Hills. This craziness must stop - NO BIKE LANES!
Bike lanes are for the very very few environmentalists and go green people. Please live in the real world. People drive cars. Let me say this again...People drive cars. Taking away hundreds of parking spots is a completely stupid idea. Rego Park is a complete disaster. Just look at it one day - don't look at the data, look at the street. Let's get real - don't implement bike lanes in Forest Hills. They are for the few, the many don't want them.
Putting bike lanes on Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills will force many people to rely on expensive garages to house their cars. This will have a devastating economic impact on our community. Bike lanes are not the only answer to make our streets safer, and I wish they would consider other alternatives. Bike lanes are horrific in Rego Park. Traffic is a nightmare. Bike lanes make no sense at all.
