People who have the privilege of owning a car should not threaten the lives of those who cannot afford to drive. Safety improvements must be included to keep drivers in check, provide more space for pedestrians to feel comfortable walking their children around, and include protected bicycling infrastructure that allows working, commuting and recreational cyclists to safely get around while also encouraging more people to use Queens Blvd to bicycle.

Looking forward to Queens Blvd transforming to look like Eastern Pkwy or Ocean Pkwy. For too long Queens Blvd has been an eyesore for those of us that grew up and live near it. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to beautify this boulevard and make it a safer place to have a family. Let's give these trees some room to breathe and grow! Let's make this a safe, liveable street.

Protected Bike Paths are crucial to improving safety on Queens Blvd. Looking forward to being able to safely traverse Queens Blvd from Woodside to Kew Gardens!

Bike Lanes are for the few environmentalists who crave to change mindsets on how NYC residents utilize transportation. Tell that to the elderly, disabled, and working class men and women who need their automobiles to survive and thrive in our great City. Take your bicycles elsewhere - NOT ON QUEENS BOULEVARD - NO BIKE LANES.

This project needs to reach all the way to Jamaica Avenue, the existing bike lanes make it so much safer to ride on this street!

Why are people saying they need parking for shopping, but here is evidence that all the parking is being used for a taxi/livery company? Why do we allow these private companies to abuse our public spaces like this?

I don't have to live in the community to ask for a bike lane here. Truth is, people come from further east and must go through this neighborhood to get to work (often in Manhattan), school, entertainment, or get out of the city. This is a state highway (#25) after all, with the second most overcrowded subway line in the city right beneath it. I live further east in Queens, and do my primary grocery shopping at Aldi in Rego Park. There is no other way to make this street safer for everyone than with this kind of redesign that makes a misunderstood mode of transportation better to use. There's a time and place for debunking the rest of the claims (parking, congestion, havoc). Isn't safety supposed to be FIRST anyway?

Please do not put any additional bicycle lanes onto Queens Boulevard. They cause more traffic and congestion, and take critical and much needed parking away from our local working class residents. NO TO BIKE LANES!

That I can drop a marker down pretty much at random and see evidence of people using bikes on Queens Blvd, speaks strongly to the need to extend the protected bike lane through Forest Hills. These bikes didn't get there by themselves, and whether they belong to customers, residents or delivery folk, they too need a safe place to travel.

We desperately need the bike lane extended to this section of Queens Blvd. I live here and ride on the Rego Park section constantly and its been amazing. As seen by the bike locked to the fence, there are others who live in this very spot who would benefit. Your own data proves this lane has been increasing safety in the areas where it has been installed, so please continue it through Forest Hills.
