No crosswalk at West 238th Street and Sedgwick Avenue. A raised crosswalk would be helpful to slow traffic since the curves to not allow for long sightlines.
This slip lane should be removed and this corner returned to the park. It only makes the intersection more dangerous for pedestrians by allowing cars to drive faster and is adjacent to a very active playground
West 225th to Broadway to the west and extending onto Kingsbridge Road would be a very useful east/west connection. The double parking on Kingsbridge Road is so bad that it is impassible in cars.
Multiple slip lanes with no pedestrian area to wait and complicated light timing and turning traffic make this intersection really hard to get across even when you are able bodied.
Please install a bike lane to extend the bike infrastructure from Goulden Avenue south to connect with Old Croton Aqueduct Walk or University Avenue
Reservoir Avenue is wide enough that you could install protected bike lanes without impacting parking and it would make crossing east / west MUCH faster and safer.
There is no controlled stop here for pedestrians to get from the reservoir side of the street to the park side of the street even though there is a sidewalk ramp. Cars go VERY fast along Reservoir Avenue which is too wide and does not need to be four lanes.
There is no safe way to get from the reservoir side of the street to the park side of the street. The reservoir sidewalk is very heavily used by runners and walkers.
This segment of Sedgwick Avenue would only require paint to make parking protected bike lanes. It is already a main east/west corridor for bikes to Mosholu Greenway
Van Cortlandt Avenue West is a great east/west corridor connecting to Sedgwick Avenue and Van Cortlandt Avenue South to Broadway. Van Cortlandt Avenue South should be made safer for bikes. The turning traffic onto the highway is unpredictable and dangerous.
