Double Parking

Hillside Ave - 211 St - Hollis Court Boulevard

This location used to be a designated loading zone, but it was recently replaced with a bus lane and the loading zone sign was removed. As a result, cars are now parking there overnight. Delivery trucks can no longer park in front of the grocery store due to the bus lane and parked vehicles, forcing them to double park and block traffic. This creates dangerous conditions, especially since this is a very busy intersection where accidents frequently occur. This area should not allow parking and should be reassigned as a loading zone to safely accommodate deliveries and prevent further congestion and safety risks.

There are large delivery trucks double parked and blocking the street because there is no designated loading zone. This is creating dangerous conditions and disrupting traffic flow. There is a grocery store on the corner, and the street in front of it should be designated for loading only to accommodate their delivery trucks and prevent double parking. Overnight parking should not be allowed in this area, as it further limits access and contributes to unsafe and congested conditions.

Clinton Ave - Lafayette Ave - Greene Ave

There is a truck loading zone in front of 345 Clinton Ave that should be moved back 300 feet to be in front of 361 Clinton Ave, which is where the package room is located for ALL of the Clinton Hill Coops buildings. Every day in front of 361 Clinton Avenue, Fedex, UPS, Amazon, USPS, etc. double park and unload (often multiple trucks at once), while the truck loading zone in front of 345 Clinton remains unused. These trucks will also park in front of the fire hydrant near 361 Clinton Ave rather than going further up the block to the truck loading zone at 345. This causes congestion, dangerous driving and noise pollution with honking. \

Amazon trucks are constantly unloading on this block despite that all of the streets nearby restrict any parking and are just meant for loading in the day. They should be loading on the streets just around the corner and not on this avenue in the bus lane like they do.

Clinton Ave - Myrtle Ave - Willoughby Ave

Trucks and vans are constantly stopping for loading in both directions, causing gridlock and drivers leaning on their horns.

83 St - 37 Ave - Roosevelt Ave

This is a bus lane and with street parking on both sides. When a car double parks here, it makes it impossible for the bus to pass and causes traffic. The honking noise is unbearable. Any day of the week and any time of the day, even late nights. It happens constantly.
