looking to get a loading and unloading spot in front of the hotel.
I have noticed A lot of cars and trucks double parking on out block when delivering for us or building around us, which makes it difficult for cars to pass, I have also realized at times being the fire house is down the block sometimes it causes them trouble to pass by which can be dangers if there's a fire and they cant pass, there is a bike station across form our hotel which makes it more difficult To pass. Which is why I'm trying to see if there is anyway possible we can get a loading zone in front of our building. Please responded at your convince. Thank you for your time. Mike Raffinello
I am writing to formally request the installation of a designated hotel loading zone in front of The Local Hotel. As a well-established hospitality provider in the city, we frequently accommodate large school groups, international travelers, and regular deliveries, all of which require safe and efficient loading and unloading access.
The honking from traffic is CONSTANT on our residential block because there are bus lanes going. both ways and there are people constantly double parking ... all it takes is one cab / person loading, stalled car and it is mayhem .. our babies can't sleep why do we have to put up with this in our homes
Ongoing issue of delivery trucks constantly double parking from Monday to Saturday. This practice causes significant delays and congestion, making it difficult for other vehicles to pass and creating safety hazards for pedestrians and drivers alike.
Subject: Request for Loading Zone at 100 East 53rd Street Dear NYC Department of Transportation, I am writing to formally request the installation of a designated loading zone in front of 100 East 53rd Street, a mixed-use building that houses residential condominiums, office space, and a restaurant. Given the high volume of deliveries, passenger drop-offs, and commercial activity, the lack of a dedicated loading zone has resulted in persistent double-parking issues, congestion, and safety concerns. Key Issues & Justification for a Loading Zone: Frequent Double-Parking: Delivery trucks and ride-share vehicles often double-park in front of the building, blocking traffic and creating hazardous conditions for pedestrians and cyclists. Delivery Challenges: The restaurant and office tenants receive frequent shipments, often leading to delivery drivers unloading in unsafe or illegal spots due to a lack of designated space. Safety Concerns: Pedestrians, including residents and restaurant patrons, are frequently forced to navigate around parked vehicles, increasing the risk of accidents. Emergency vehicle access is also occasionally obstructed. Traffic Flow & Congestion: Given the building’s location in Midtown Manhattan, the absence of a designated loading area exacerbates already heavy traffic conditions. An adequately marked loading zone would help alleviate congestion, enhance safety, and streamline deliveries for businesses and residents while ensuring compliance with NYC parking regulations. We appreciate your consideration of this request and look forward to any guidance on the next steps. Please let me know if further information or documentation is needed. Best regards, Nico Sukalic On-Site Manager 347-920-6045
Tons of cars parked in the bus lane all the way from 106 to 98th. This is before 10:00 a.m. when there is no standing in the bus lane. I had to get off the bus and walk. It's a good thing I'm not disabled. I'm sure you're aware but there are always cars parked all over the bus lane when they're not supposed to be. This needs to be in Forester there's almost no point in having a boss at all.
112 Saint Edwards St (Stonewall House) is an 18 story, 145 unit senior housing building. Seniors, many using canes, walkers, and wheelechairs, are forced to navigate treacherously through a wall of parked cars to double parked Access-a- ride and car services. A loading only designation as well as curb cut is much needed to reduce the chances of falls and alleviate tenant anxiety on arriving and exiting via cars and mini buses.
I am a resident of 365 Bridge Street. Currently there is no left turn from Jay Street onto MetroTech way. I propose that this left turn be allowed on nights after 7:00 pm and weekends for RESIDENTS only. I have lived in this neighborhood since September 2024 and my observation is that there is virtually no traffic on Jay Street in the evenings after 7:00 pm and on weekends. The amount of construction and the layout of one way streets in the area denies residents easy egress to their homes and forces us onto the Flatbush Avenue Extention. Allowing home owners-who pay taxes to maintain these roads-more streamlined access to Lawrence, Bridge and Duffied Streets would keep excess cars off the Flatbush Avenue extention. This request has also been made by City Council Member Lincoln Restler as well. I intend to rally my neighbors on all three streets. Thank you.
NYPD regularly parks police and personal vehicles here, intentionally blocking the bike lane and motor vehicle traffic
