West 78 St - Broadway - West End Ave

Apthorp and 378 West End Ave buildings' loading entrances are both located on W 78th St. This means contractors and large deliveries are often double-parked blocking the bike lane AND the Citi Bike docks. Propose converting ALL parking to daytime loading zone only, and shifting Bike Lane closer to sidewalk for a "protected" bike lane. If not, at least propose also turning Citi Bike docks so they face the sidewalk rather than the road.

Broadway - West 74 St - West 75 St

Frequent double and sometimes triple-parking from Instacart delivery cars. Propose road diet to widen sidewalk for pedestrian and cyclist parking use to discourage double/triple-parking, and direct these cars to load on existing W 74th St loading zone. Propose adding dedicated bus lane travel to ensure double/triple-parking does not impede public transit.

Beacon Theater frequently blocks bike lane for roadie trucks loading when there is an event (which is frequent) with no clear alternative bike lane detour provided. Propose moving all Beacon Theater loading to existing Broadway loading zone or converting parking on W 75th St to loading zone.

Broadway - West 74 St - West 75 St

Existing non-travel loading zone is used for Fairway's deliveries or for stacking unused shipping pallets or for parked Instacart delivery bikes. Additionally, forklift and pallet jack traffic from Fairway poses a sidewalk hazard for pedestrians. Citarella trucks frequently double or triple park along Broadway travel lanes instead of the prescribed W 74th St loading zone. This causes a bottleneck for all Broadway southbound travel especially the M104 bus. Propose a road diet to widen sidewalk enforced with bollards for clear pedestrian path, and add dedicated enforceable bus lane to ensure clear traffic free of bottlenecks.

This prescribed loading zone for Fairway grocery is not utilized by any large tractor trailers. Instead they use Broadway and double park between Fairway’s shipping pallets and triple-parked Instacart cars. Propose removing curb cut and parking restriction and repurposing to pedestrian and Instacart delivery bike parking use to reduce the need for triple-parking on Broadway.

cops always double parked and use street as an impound too. Street sweeper never comes.

Parking/standing in bus stop constantly due to not enough loading zones near Subway station, deli and food cart.

This street is TERRIBLE - delivery trucks and other drivers stopped in the right side lane almost all day, causing huge backups and so much honking!! PLEASE fix this block, with loading zones or cameras or anything!!!

Shore Parkway - Belt Parkway Eb En Bay Pkwy - Bay 38 St

Cars constantly turn into the bike lane and wait there while queuing to get into parking lots. When the red light is on, this creates blockage of the bike lane and is unsafe for cyclists, especially since motorists often make right turns on red.

There are trucks constantly loading goods at the large stores and warehouses located here. There are also car carrier trailers who park in the bike lanes almost every time I am out there (and I bike this route 3-5 times a week).
