Trucks always parked loading Gristedes
Vehicles parked on sidewalk every weekday.
The dollar van usually waits on Southbound Utica Avenue between Eastern Parkway's service road and main road. This blocks the crosswalk for everyone trying to cross the street to or from the subway. Please create a loading zone where the dollar van can wait, and ensure that the crosswalk can be safer.
Grand St. and Berry St now have traffic lights. The barricades force cars and trucks into pedestrians becuase barricades are haphazardly placed in crosswalk and block vehicles from having access to or from Berry St and Grand. Meanwhile, citibikes, e-vehicles and mopeds nearly kill children and pedestrians crossing the street with the light.
In two places on this sidewalk (driggs between N11th and N12th) DOT has installed round bike racks that have been placed way to far into the sidewalk. When a bike is there it is not wide enough for the volume of pedestrians using the sidewalk to get by. They need to be taken out. The racks were placed to far into the sidewalk on the N11th side too.
The bike racks on the sidewalk block pedestrian traffic and create less than 8ft clearance for pedestrians. N7th is highly used by pedestrians and this bike rack is redundant often full of bikes abandoned or hoarded. When the cellar door is used by building there is nowhere to walk.
There are constantly delivery trucks blocking the crosswalk at this intersection, on the Northwest corner of Flatbush and Sterling. It's scary enough crossing Flatbush with two toddlers but it's so difficult to even make it across the street, I often have to walk directly into oncoming traffic from Sterling when crossing West to East.
Stop taking parking spaces from the area and using "public safety" as the reasoning, but complaining that residents are double parking when it rarely happens and when it does is for short periods.
Trucks always deliver on my street and I can’t get home. They need to park on hyland blvd on the bus lane
The UPS Store and the deli across the street have trucks blocking this area a lot, which ends up blocking either the bike lane or the travel lane. Having a shared loading zone would be good here!
