Double Parking
Double Parking
Nostrand Ave - Avenue V - Avenue W - Brooklyn

The block of Nostrand Avenue between Avenues V and W have two schools right next to each other. Every morning and afternoon, over 100 parents need to drop off and pick up their kids by car. The new city bus camera program is creating tickets for every parent who needs to drop off or pick up their child, as the frontage of the schools is too small to allow for single car parking. They need a zone to load and unload the children without getting a new ticket twice every day. It is becoming unmanageable. The parents can not even afford one ticket, let alone 20 each month. Please advise if there is anything we can do to have a special ticket free zone or designated parking for that area. Thank you. I am a concerned parent.

St Marks Ave - Vanderbilt Ave - Brooklyn

current designated loading zone is not being used by delivery trucks. most frequent observed use is by tow trucks or other non-residentt commercial vehicles parked overnight. it is a useless location and should be deleted from program.

Bennett Ave - Nagle Ave - West 192 St - Manhattan

Delivery trucks and private vehicles often use the crosswalk to the 190th A train station as a loading zone, which creates a dangerous pedestrian crossing. A loading zone on this block could alleviate that.

West 187 St - Ft Washington Ave - Pinehurst Ave - Manhattan

This stretch of 187th has two supermarkets and multiple restaurants -- there are frequently trucks and vans unloading in the middle of traffic or in the Fort Washington intersection itself. It's such a small street that at least one side should really be a loading zone, not parking.

West 168 St - Ft Washington Ave - Manhattan

Delivery trucks often block traffic lanes on Fort Washington and 168th St. or double park outside NY Presbyterian, blocking the M4 bus route, inhibiting traffic to get onto the GWB, and making it difficult for ambulances to get through or patients to be dropped off at their appointments at NY Presbyterian.

Bergen St - Nevins St - 3 Ave

There are always people parked on the bike lane on Bergen Street in the morning. It is a very busy route to get to work in Manhattan, so it's very annoying

There are always cars and trucks parked on 8th Avenue around here, you have to weave around them

Parkside Ave - Flatbush Ave - Brooklyn

The double parking takes place between Flatbush and Ocean Avenues. Trucks and cars often block bus stops. The delivery trucks block the turning lane at the corner of Flatbush and Parkside. The cars are double parked and interfere with the turning lane to Ocean Avenue. The area needs red light cameras, speeding deterrents, and left/right turn signals on Flatbush Avenue.
